With more than 97 years of tradition in the production of technical ceramics, it is today represented with products such as honeycomb and plate SCR catalysts, ceramic heat storage and SCR diesel catalysts for commercial vehicles worldwide. Since 2012, the company belongs to the Japanese IBIDEN CO., LTD, which operates with more than 13,000 employees worldwide. There are about 400 employees working in Frauental. During the company tour, you will see the complete process flow of the company starting in the kneading workshop of the main plant, continuing with the extrusion up to the final process in the new building complex. Description:

  • Red Bull Ring Tour, home of the Formula 1 (subject to racing calendar in Spielberg)
    The tour will guide you through areas which are usually closed for visitors, e. g. the VIP lounges, the race control, the medical center or the media center. One of the highlights of the tour is the voestalpine wing, depicting the gate to the  Red Bull Ring and corresponding to the rear of a racing car. In the vehicle exhibition in the Welcome Center you will also closely experience PS-legends, which made motor sport history.   • Visit of the Benedictine abbey Seckau
    On a plateau on the slopes of the Seckau Alps, there is the Benedictine Abbey of Seckau, which was once the most important place in terms of history and culture. It was formerly the canons monastery and the diocese's episcopal. Since the 12th century, the miraculous image "Our Lady of Seckau" in the Romanesque basilica casts a spell over the visitors. Of particular interest are the Romanesque crucifixion group, the Habsburg Mausoleum or the Seckau Apocalypse by Herbert Boeckl in the Angel Chapel, all of which are also visited and explained on a guided tour through the "World of Monks". Afterwards, a tasting of the Seckau monastery schnapps and liqueurs will take place in the cellar, which has received several awards.
